Early Head Start provides services for families from

Skagit/Islands Head Start is a pre-school program which consists of daily

School District & Special Instruction Programs
Early Intervention
services (birth to three) are available through most school districts in
Skagit County. Please contact the Lead Family Resource Coordinator at
SPARC or individual school districts for more information. Each of the
school districts in Skagit County provides evaluation and special
education services for pre-school children beginning at age three in
accordance with state and federal laws. If a delay is suspected in any
of five areas (cognition, communication, physical, adaptive, and/or
social emotional) the school will provide an interdisciplinary
evaluation by professionals. If a child is determined eligible for
school services, a preschool program including an IEP will be provided.
